Long Beach has many hidden gems and one of them is the Wrigley neighborhood. The area features tree-lined streets and homes of various architectural styles at entry-level prices. There are some great examples of Spanish style homes, Tudor homes, Craftsman homes and other bungalows.
The Wrigley area gets its name from William Wrigley Jr, the chewing gum magnate, and was one of the first areas established in Long Beach. It’s bounded on the north by the 405 Freeway, on the south by Pacific Coast Hwy., on the east by Long Beach Boulevard and on the west by the Los Angeles River and 710 Freeway. The zip code for the Wrigley neighborhood is 90806.
The neighborhood has a community park, Veterans Park, and easy access to local freeways and the Blue Line light rail. Each year, the Wrigley Neighborhood hosts the Daisy Avenue Christmas Parade, which goes along Daisy Avenue between Pacific Coast Highway and Burnett. As a result, locals call the area “Daisy Avenue Christmas Tree Lane.
