Two-Story Craftsman with Flexible Living Space
Situated in the heart of the popular Rose Park Historic District, 733 Stanley Avenue has outstanding curb appeal, beautiful updates, and a floor plan that allows multiple possibilities. This stately two-story Craftsman home features bright, airy spaces and thoughtful touches throughout, including recessed lighting, crown molding, and more. With more than 2,000 square feet, there’s plenty of room to spread out here, either using it all as one home -- or with a portion as a separate one-bedroom apartment with a kitchenette, living room, bathroom, and bedroom, and even a wine cellar. The “in-law unit” is connected to the main living space and has a private entrance at the front of the house plus French doors to the large back yard. It could work perfectly for an adult relative or to rent out, depending on your needs.
The main part of the house features both a downstairs bedroom and bathroom plus a large master suite upstairs. The master has a large walk-in closet and a spacious bathroom with dual sinks and a large, luxurious shower. Downstairs, the efficient galley kitchen has a double sink with a garden window, and tile floors, counters, and backsplash. There is a separate laundry room with additional storage and counter space. The home features central heat and air conditioning.
The private backyard is an outdoor entertainer’s paradise with multiple expansive patios and mature landscaping. And you’ll find plenty of storage and parking. In addition to a long driveway, there’s a 2 car garage with alley access and a large detached shed.
The Rose Park Historic District is convenient to much that Long Beach has to offer, including shopping, restaurants, coffee houses, wine bars, parks, and more. Stroll to dinner on Retro Row or hop on your bike and head to the beach.

Named one of the country’s best “Old House Neighborhoods” by “This Old House” magazine, the area was named after the circular Rose Park at the junction of 8th Street and Orizaba Avenue. The park was dedicated to the City of Long Beach by the Alamitos Land Company in 1910 and many of the homes were built in the teens through the 1930s. There are two historic districts within the neighborhood and a host of historic Craftsman style homes, along with Spanish Colonial Revival single family and multi-family residences. Bounded on the west and east by St. Louis and Coronado and north and south by 10th Street and 7th Street, Rose Park is characteristic of Long Beach’s older residential neighborhoods. The Rose Park area is walking distance to 4thStreet’s Retro Row, which features many popular eateries along with coffee houses, wine bars, and a restored art theater.
