Learn more about Carroll Park
The Carroll Park neighborhood is one of Long Beach’s most charming historic districts. Bordered by 3rd Street on the south, 4th Street on the north, Junipero on the west and Wisconsin on the east. Carroll Park consists of two looping narrow streets lined with historic California Craftsman Bungalows situated around a quaint park. The Carroll Park neighborhood is named after John Carroll, the developer who reportedly laid out the streets in a curving, almost circular pattern to stop farmers from driving their loaded farm wagons through this residential area on their way to the market in downtown Long Beach. The area was designated as a historic district in 1982. Homes here include Craftsman bungalows Because the area is small and the turnover rate in this neighborhood is very low, you may wish to also check out homes for sale in nearby Rose Park, Bluff Heights, or Bluff Park neighborhoods if you are looking for a historic Long Beach home.
