Park Estates

The Park Estates neighborhood is a highly desirable neighborhood within Long Beach. Situated just west of California State University Long Beach, the neighborhood boundaries are Pacific Coast Highway and Clark Ave. on the west, Atherton on the north, and Bellflower on the east. Surrounding neighborhoods include Circle Area and Los Altos.

Park Estates is a neighborhood of custom homes that sit on ample lots. Homes were built primarily in the 1950s, though many additions and modifications have been made since then. Because they are custom homes, many have nice sized rooms and loads of charm. Lot sizes can range from 6,600 square feet all the way up to 20,000+ square feet. Since it is an extremely desirable neighborhood, the price of these homes show just that.

Park Estates was named for the lush, shady feel of highly landscaped properties and tree-lined streets. Not many neighborhoods in Long Beach offer this same feel, though the closest is probably Virginia Country Club. Along with a tight-knit community feel, Park Estates also has the benefit of being close to the beach and to many shops and restaurants. The neighborhood has two parks – Los Altos Park Plaza and Bouton Creek Park, and the elementary school serving this area is the highly rated Minnie Gant Elementary.
