Here are some of the fun Halloween events in the LA/OC area that you and your furry friends can both enjoy!

Walk & Trick-or-Treat for the Animals

Oct. 24th, 9 am – noon
Huntington Beach Central Park
18000 Goldenwest Street, Huntington Beach

Furry kids and human kids are both welcome at this trick-or-treating event! Explore the haunted dog agility course or trick-or-treat through the “ghost town” of vendors. Not to mention all of the food, treats, games, bounce house, costume contest, and more! This event is sponsored by the OCSPCA with proceeds going to help their animals. Howl-o-ween Spooktacular

Oct. 24th, 11 am – 3 pm
7700 E. Spring Street, Long Beach

This fun and festive event, sponsored by the spcaLA is sure to be a hit for pets and humans alike! Some of the activities include a Doggie Costume Contest, with special guest judge Katie Thompson from 100.3FM The Sound, a Tricks Contest, Agility Demo, Paw Painting, Trick or Treating with your pets, vendor give-aways and more. Online registration for the contests is required and all proceeds go to benefit scpaLA animals.

Dog Ranch’s 1st Annual Pet Fair & Howl-o-ween Costume Contest

Oct. 25th, 12 – 4pm
The Dog Ranch Bed & Biscuit
20401 Sun Valley Drive, Laguna Beach

Come celebrate with Dog Ranch as they present a day filled with fun and festivities, dedicated not just to Halloween but to pet health and education as well. There will be a costume contest, food, raffles, vendors, live demonstrations, prizes, and more! And the best part? This event is free to attend! Howl-oween Pet Costume & Cocktail Party

Oct. 27th, 7 – 10pm
The Unique Space
1275 E. 6th Street, Los Angeles

The stylish and unique pet retailer, Pussy & Pooch, normally hosts an annual Halloween Mutt Mingle, but this year they’ve decided to go bigger and better! Partnering with The Unique Space, this year they will be hosting the ultimate Howl-oween Pet Social to benefit pet rescue and SPCALA. There will be a costume contest starting at 8pm, with guest judges from Downtown LA News, live music by DJ Lezlee, professional photography, pet energy readings, and of course lots of tricks and treats for both pets and humans! Some of these include coffee provided by Gounds & Hounds and food and cash bar provided by Horse Thief BBQ. Costumes for you and your furry friends are highly encouraged, and tickets are required for entry. Get your tickets online or in-stores early because they price will increase the day of the event (bonus: each entry ticket comes with a free drink ticket!). This event is sure to be extremely popular, so don’t delay!

Eat, Bark, and Be Scary at the Kriser’s Natural Pet Haunted Mansion

Oct. 30th, 4 – 8 pm
Kriser’s Natural Pet

Get ready to Eat, Bark, and Be Scary (or is it Scared?) at the Kriser’s Natural Pet Haunted Mansion in Irvine this Halloween weekend! Aside from the haunted mansion, there will also be a costume contest, raffles, and plenty of tricks and treats to go around. Admission is free, but Kriser’s Natural Pet is stocking up on pet food, clothing, towels, blankets, and more, so donations are greatly appreciated. Questions? The 15th Annual Haute Dog Howl’oween Parade & Pet Adoption Fair

Oct. 31st, starting at 2:30 pm
Marina Vista Park
5355 E. Eliot Street, Long Beach

Justin Rudd is at it again, with the 15th annual Haute Dog Howl’oween Parade happening this year in Long Beach. This family-friendly event is a favorite among pets and humans alike! Featuring more than 500 costumed dogs and humans, this event draws just as many spectators along the parade route. A distinguished panel of judges will choose a few dozen winners in various categories. Proceeds will go to help support spay/neuter programs, adoption/rescue groups, Operation Santa Paws, and other Long Beach service projects. Registration is required to be in the parade, and the cost will increase the day of the event, so register online today to ensure your spot in this Long Beach tradition.

Your furry friends don’t have to miss out on the fun this Halloween season.
