Haute Dog Howl’oween Parade

The parade for animal charities features more than 500 dogs in colorful costumes. Even for folks who don’t normally venture down Long Beach way, some of these canine costumes really are worth the drive. The Haute Dog Howl’oween Parade claims to be the “World’s Largest Halloween Pet Event.”

9th Annual Día De Los Muertos Celebration

The City of Long Beach and Office of First District Councilwoman Mary Zendejas proudly present the 2024 Día de Los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, Parade – a free, family-friendly celebration of life in remembrance of loved ones who have died. This year’s celebration will include the City’s festive street parade on Saturday, Nov. 2, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in Downtown Long Beach, coinciding with an Arte y Ofrendas Festival at Marina Green Park (more information to be announced at a later date), hosted by Grand Parade Día De Los Muertos Inc.

Los Cerritos Wetlands Nature Walk : Raptor Ramble
Saturday, Nov. 02 2024, 8 – 10 AM
A free guided nature walk through the southern area of Los Cerritos Wetlands. Come look for raptors and other local birds! Our walk will begin with a brief orientation about Los Cerritos Wetlands. We will stroll through heritage coastal sage scrub and historic dredge spoils while looking for raptors (birds of prey) and other species that nest in the area. As we pass the salt flats we may see tiger beetles and coyote tracks before hiking up to the Heron Pointe Cultural trail to discuss how tidal circulation shapes our local wetlands.

40th Belmont Shore Christmas Parade

The Belmont Shore Christmas Parade is an annual event that brings the community together to celebrate the holiday season. This parade showcases local businesses, schools, and community groups and attracts tens of thousands of residents and visitors each year.
The theme of this year’s parade is “A Holiday Tradition,” honoring our 40 years of producing the parade and the tradition it has become for so many. The Parade is open and free for all ages to enjoy. The route is 1.2 miles long and begins promptly at 6pm starting at Livingston & 2nd Street marching east along 2nd Street turning around at Bay Shore Avenue and returning back to Livingston.

Naples Island Christmas Boat Parade

The Naples Boat Parade features holiday-decorated boats and watercraft winding their way through the romantic canals of Naples Island in Long Beach.
