One of the best parts of summer in Long Beach is the warm days and the pleasant nights, and especially spending that time by the ocean on the sand. Alfredo’s Beach Club, who hosts many Long Beach events throughout the year, is once again hosting the annual summer Moonlight Movies on the Beach – a favorite summer pastime for Long Beach residents.
Alfredo’s Beach Club is celebrating 33 years in Long Beach, and serve the community by hosting numerous events such as the Pirate Invasion Long Beach and Love Long Beach Celebration, as well as bike, kayak, and Stand Up Paddleboard rentals. Moonlight Movies on the Beach is one of their most popular events every year, with 15 movie showings this summer alone on three different beaches. This year, Alfredo’s Beach Club is also partnering with the Port of Long Beach and Charter Communications to present the screenings.
Most of the Moonlight Movies on the Beach will be held at Granada Beach (5000 E. Ocean Blvd), though several films will be shown at Cherry Beach (1 Junipero Ave) and Alamitos Beach (700 E. Shoreline Dr) throughout the summer. All movies are free and there is plenty of parking available at all locations.
The movie schedule is as followed:

As mentioned, to attend the movie is free, though there is VIP Seating available for purchase if you want the best seat in the house! There is also a snack shop, food trucks, kettle corn, and more, so plenty of food and drinks will be available for purchase to enjoy during the films. All movies begin at dusk (approx. 8pm), so you will get the bonus of watching the sunset while you wait. The movies are also all family-friendly, so all ages are welcome to attend. So grab your beach chairs and blankets, and get ready for a summer of movies under the moonlight!
