Most Instagrammable Long Beach Spots

Instagrammable Long Beach

From architecture to local art, Instagram is the best place to give your favorite spots in town some love. Whether you’re an avid blogger or just starting out on the gram, these are Long Beach spots you don’t want to miss.

Shoreline Village

Shoreline Village is a great place to grab a bite to eat, go shopping, and enjoy the fresh air. The entire shopping center is on the water so there are plenty of ocean shots. Walk down the marina for a nautical background, or take a shot with the Lions Lighthouse in the background. There are even spots to rent surreys – a four-wheel, bike for two, four, or six! Now that would make a great Instagram accessory!

Once you’re done with Shoreline Village, walk down the path a bit. You’ll get the perfect view of the Queen Mary in the background! Nothing is more Instagrammable than the queen herself. A Long Beach icon!

Queen Mary

We had to give the Queen Mary her own spot too! Not only can you get great pictures with the ship in the background, but the ship itself also offers a great spot for taking Instagram shots. Go on a tour and you can get stunning pictures with the ocean in the background. Or, go for a different vibe and take your photos inside the historic areas. Just watch out for ghosts!

If you’re in the mood for some food head over to Fuego or The Reef for delicious seafood and even more ocean backdrops.

Local Art

Long Beach has plenty of amazing local art. When you least expect it, you could turn a corner and find an amazing piece of art that is perfect for an Instagram shot.

Bluff Park

Bluff Park is the perfect location for an Instagrammable photoshoot. You have all the greenery of the park, the Long Beach Museum of Art next door, and of course, a view of the ocean in the background. On a clear day you may even get Catalina Island in the background!

The Skinny House

If you’re looking for a famous Long Beach spot for your photos, then look no further than this famous Rose Park home. The Skinny House as it is known is a three-story house that is in the Guinness Book of World Records and Ripley’s Believe it or Not as the skinniest house in the country! The lot is only 10 feet by 40 feet and the home was built in 1932 by Newton Rummonds. A friend bet that he could not build a real house on the lot so he built the Skinny House!

Fun Fact: Shannon sold this home when she was first starting out! Learn more about that HERE.

The Aquarium

Not only is The Aquarium a great place to spend a few hours and learn about marine life, but it’s also highly Instagrammable! Get a shot with some of the amazing fish they have, or you feeding a lorikeet. There’s also a life-sized whale hanging in the main hall that would make for a stunning shot. When you’re done at the aquarium you can grab a bite to eat at one of the nearby waterfront restaurants. Or you can walk down to Shoreline Village for that Queen Mary shot we mentioned. The Instagram shot possibilities are endless in this area!

Villa Riviera

The Villa Riviera is another iconic Long Beach landmark. This historic building sits right on Ocean Boulevard and overlooks the ocean. At one point it was one of the tallest buildings in California and can still be seen from many different locations in Downtown Long Beach.

Naples

Of course, you can’t forget Naples when looking for Instagrammable Long Beach shots! In fact, it makes such a good backdrop, we recently featured it in one of our neighborhood videos. From the canals to the beautiful houses, you really can’t go wrong with any spots in Naples. If you’re lucky, you may even get a gondolier in the background of one of your photos!

Instagrammable Homes

Popular places get a lot of love on Instagram, but so do pictures of homes. The right photo can grab your attention (like the ones above). Quality images are equally as important in real estate. According to the Center for REALTOR® Development (CRD), homes with high-quality photography sell 32% faster and for more money. That’s why every home we list receives both professional photography and marketing on Instagram.
