Mother’s Day is the time to show your mom just how much you appreciate and care about her! How are you planning on spoiling your mom this year? Here are some fun suggestions for things to do in and around Long Beach for Mother’s Day.
Visit the Aquarium of the Pacific
While visiting the Aquarium of the Pacific isn’t Mother’s Day specific, it’s a great, family-friendly outing. It is now fully open and you can see a variety of animals from sea otters, sharks, jellies, frogs, and more! Be sure to get tickets in advance though, as they are limited and will book up!
Get Outside!
Long Beach has so many great spots for a Mother’s Day picnic. Settle in with an ocean view at Bluff Park, or visit one of Long Beach’s many parks. Other great spots for a picnic include Lion’s Lighthouse in Downtown Long Beach, the park at Marine Stadium, the Nature Center, and more!
Treat Mom to a Spa Day
For some hardworking moms, a spa day is just what the doctor ordered. Consider treating your mom to a spa treatment or two, such as a facial or a massage! Some noteworthy spas in Long Beach are The Petite Retreat, Bliss on Broadway, and Sanctuary Spa & Skin Care.
Beyond Long Beach
Long Beach isn’t the only spot with great Mother’s Day activities. Surrounding areas also have some upcoming events worth checking out.
Sunset Beach Art Festival
It doesn’t get any better than admiring art and strolling along the beach! On May 13th and 14th, the Sunset Beach Art Festival will be celebrating its 55th annual Mother’s Day weekend festival. There will be art exhibits, delicious food vendors, live music, a beer & wine garden, and the best part is, it’s completely free to enter!
Modern Makers Mart
Take your mom to this outdoor market hosted from 11-2 PM on Saturday, May 13th at the Yorba Linda Town Center. This free event will feature live music, a photo booth, and locally crafted goods.
